Arwen almost jumped at the question and Asfaloth back away. 

“I am sorry but no you may not. What are you may I ask?”

It was worth a shot, he thought. He blinked at before giving her a toothy smile, showing off the set of fangs that grew in his mouth.

“I’m a vampire,” V.K.  proudly announced.

“A vampire? Well perhaps i could find you something else to eat instead of my horse?” Arwen suggested.

” Good luck trying to find anything with a pulse around these part,” he grumbled, crossing his arm then realizing that he was being rude, ” I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sass you, I just haven’t eaten in a while. “

Arwen chuckled, “No need to apologize, well, how about small creatures?” She tilted her head. 

“That would do for a little bit, ” he nodded and smiled at her.

He gazes down, staring at the other person. “Am I big because I am actually big? Or am I big because I seem like I am compared to your height?”

” I see,” V.K. nodded. He winced a bit as his hunger surged yet again, being this close to another living being was getting dangerous. He was so hungry, but he wasn’t sure if he was desperate enough to beg now was he?

“Well since you are offering aid, I was wondering if you could help me?”

“Of course, how may I assist you?” Arwen said as she smiled at him.

” This is going to sound very strange, but may I eat your horse? ” V.K. waiting for her reaction to his request.

Arwen was wide eyed as she saw him appear. She put Hadhafang away and looked at him,. “Who art thou?” She asked in her gentle voice. Asfaloth neighed as he turned his head toward the stranger. 

“My name is V.K., ” he announced, ” who are you?” he eyed her curiously.

“I am Arwen Undomiel of Rivendell” Arwen said while pulling Asfaloth’s head back. 

“Are you traveling?” he asked eying her curiously,  ” you don’t see too many elves around these part.” he stated, careful to not reveal his fangs just yet.

“Yes I am, sight seeing and also aiding anyone who is in need of my assistance” Arwen said.

His stomach growled a bit as he watched them. He would never be stupid enough to try and attack an elf, but her horse sure looked delicious. All of that blood pumping into those muscles, he can practically heart it’s heart beating next to him. His fangs grew longer as he grasp onto the tree branch, after starving for so long, he wasn’t sure if he could control himself any longer.

Arwen sensed something and turned around. “Hello?” She said holding onto her sword. Her other hand holding Asfaloth’s reigns. 

damn, he cursed. That didn’t take long at all. He debated on whether he should continue to hide or not, but suppose she would find him sooner or later.

V.K. slowly floated down from the tree and emerged from the shadows, showing himself to the maiden.
